Welcome

Welcome to the University of Sydney Buddhist Society's website. Unibodhi was established in 1982 to foster university students' and staff's understanding about the teachings of the Buddha.

Today, Unibodhi provides many events to continue to foster the understanding of Buddhism at the University of Sydney. We welcome all people at our functions and believe in the Buddha's message that peace within one's own heart and mind can bring peace and harmony to the world around us.

Mindfulness Month of May

Although May has ended, let us all continue to practice mindfulness in our daily lives.

Practicing mindfulness is one of the steps that can lead us to the end of suffering. It can be defined as complete and uncritical awareness of oneself, feelings, thought and Reality.

Try to be more mindful of your speech, your thoughts, or your actions, and cultivate kindness and compassion in your daily life.

For more information on mindfulness, go here or here.

For more details about these events, check out our Events page, and our weekly email upates.
